CHILDREN AND FAMILIES
At St James Church, our kids (aged 0-11), experience safe, age appropriate environments where they learn about Jesus in a creative, fun and relevant way. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, we're supporting our children and families in some more unusual ways. These are open to all, so please get in touch if you'd like to join in.
For more information on any of our work for children please do get in touch with our Children's Worker, Helen.
Every Friday, Helen will upload a video teaching with activities for families to do together. We suggest watching this before St James Live, Sundays 10.30am.
Sunday 5th April
The Substitution Game - Set out a tray of objects. Look at them for 1 minute, and then adult should secretly substitute one object with a stone. Which object has been substituted?
Have a Rock Concert, and find a Bible verse which helps you to remember that Jesus is king. Paint your verses on some stones!
Songs of the Week:
Use your Rock Concert to pray!
Holy Week Challenge:
Make a cross and put it in your window - this is a challenge from the Bishops!
Good Friday Superheroes Challenge: Make sure you join in with Friday Superheroes on Facebook!
Join in our Zoom Passover on Thursday!
Every week, Kingdom Kids parents and carers will be getting together for a Zoom Call. Share how your week is going, support each other through homeschooling and enjoy some conversation with adults outside of your home! If you'd like to take part, please contact Helen.
Rockin is our weekly group for children in Years 2-6. During isolation, Helen will upload a video each week, with games, crafts, challenges and a whole lot of fun!
Tuesday 31st March
Helen tells the story of Palm Sunday and Jesus' entrance into Jerusalem.
Think about: If you had been there, what would you have done?
Challenge: Make some praise bunting or a praise flag. Use them to worship Jesus like you were in Jerusalem.
What are you going to praise Jesus for?
