Struggling with debt or unemployment? Christians Against Poverty is an award-winning charity which supports people out of debt, into work or simply teaches you to manage your money better.

Our Clitheroe CAP Centre opened in November 2011 and has worked with over 160 clients to date.  We have loved celebrating with those clients who have become debt free.

Our CAP Manager is Graham Haldane.

COVID-19 Update: We have currently replaced home visits with phone or online appointments.  CAP is open to new debt clients: please contact 0800-328-006 or go to the webpage below.

Next course

CAP Money is a simple, yet highly effective money management course that teaches people budgeting skills and a cash-based system that really works.  This course will help anyone to get more in control of their finances, so they can save, give and prevent or deal with debt.

St James’ Church has partnered with Christians Against Poverty to offer CAP Money courses in our community. The service we offer is completely free.  Our standard 'adult' course runs over three sessions, which are normally held at St James' Church, or can be arranged elsewhere for a community group. We also run student, youth and children’s versions of the course, which we’re keen to use with local schools and community groups.  Please contact Graham if you are interested in discussing options.

COVID-19 Update: Due to the current health situation, the CAP Money Course has now been made available online.  This might be an ideal opportunity to address your finances, and hopefully make them stretch further during this challenging time.  Our next course (via Zoom) is due to run on Tuesdays 2nd, 9th and 23rd February 2021. Places can be booked via the link below.
