The worship team serves the St James community with music that focuses thought and emotion upon worshipping God. Music has a wonderful ability to focus emotion and thought; think of a film score, a football crowd's chant, or even romantic music in a restaurant. It’s also biblical; there are countless examples of music being used to worship and praise God in the bible.

Through musical worship we lift high the name of Jesus, but can also minister to and remind each other of important biblical truths, and reflect on our own personal relationship with God.

​

It is always a joy to welcome new musicians and technicians to the St James worship team. Joining the worship team can be a fantastic way of getting involved in the community and making new friends. It is also a challenging and rewarding commitment to learn and grow as worshippers together. We do this through regular band practice, as well as training/development events that might cover anything from a bible study, to a day out at a worship training event.
