MISSION PARTNERS

Through the mission tithe, we support our partners working all across the world - and sometimes locally too - to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Ribble Valley Foodbank

The foodbank is located in Clitheroe and Longridge, and gives out 85 3-day food parcels every month. It's staffed by 75 volunteers, and opens 3 days a week.

You can find out more at the Ribble Valley Foodbank Website.

The ARC Project, Blackburn

ARC seeks to create a safe, welcoming space for those fleeing war, persecution and violence in their homelands.  ARC provides the practical support asylum seekers and refugees need to start rebuilding their lives in the UK.  Open five days a week the Project runs a number of different activities for service users to participate in. Find out more at the ARC Project Website.

Charis Ministries

Charis has been working in Mozambique since 2007 through the work of missionaries Mandy Hunter and Mel Welch who partner with Aglow Mozambique in the setting up satellite aglow groups in the rural areas of Vilanculos, which demonstrate the practical love of God by providing homes for the homeless, food, medicines and on-going support for those who are suffering. Mandy and Mel provide community health and bible training for village health and pastoral workers. Since the cyclone and flooding in Spring 2019, Mel and Mandy have been helping with flood relief and rebuilding efforts. Find out more here.

The Solomon Project

The Solomon project works in partnership with Mary’s Meals, providing meals to chronically hungry children in their local school. By using local produce and community volunteers they are able to feed one child in school for a whole year for just £17.00. Find out more here.

Turi Micah Feeding Project

The Turi Micah Project is a breakfast feeding project working in partnership with a Kenyan Primary School. Find out more here.

Gideons UK

The Gideons work tirelessly to distribute copies of the New Testament and Psalms. They have recently distributed 500 copies at the Royal Lancashire Show, and almost every Year 7 pupil in Ribble Valley Secondary Schools has received a copy during the last academic year.
